If you’re a fan of Mega Man, Street Fighter, or just stupidly difficult platformers in general, then Capcom’s announcement a few days ago should have brought joy to your heart. Celebrating the anniversary of both Street Fighter and Mega Man, Capcom announced on their Unity blog that they will release a free PC game on December 17th titled Street Fighter X Mega Man. You’ll play as Mega Man, with iconic Street Fighter characters standing in for the traditional robot masters. In typical Mega Man style, you will be able to gain the ability of these Street Fighter characters after defeating them and use those to continue the fight. Capcom provided the following trailer to ensure everyone is adequately excited:
Considering that I’ll be starting my break for the holidays on December 18th, the December 17th release is just in time for me to be able to dedicate a few days to making my thumbs bleed. I just wonder who is going to be the first to come up with the proper order for taking down all of the Street Fighter bosses.
